States Industries Inc. has introduced a digital imaging technique to complement its NOVA line of prefinished panels. The process allows unique and exotic grain patterns, inlays and marquetry to be photographically printed on natural wood substrates eliminating the decals or screen-printing currently used to achieve similar effects. The patented process can also be used to apply logos, licensed or fine art, patterns and technical graphics to wood veneer laminated panels as well as some composite and celluloid panels. Panels up to 48" X 120" can be printed.
