The Homag Print Line, available exclusively from Stiles Machinery, revolutionizes the edgebanding design process through technology that allows for the application of any color or pattern via a print technique that has never been accomplished previously. This new technology supports lean manufacturing principles by eliminating the need for multicoil edgeband magazines, extensive material inventory, procurement and handling logistics. The Print Line system imprints a selected color image directly onto a neutral ABS edge material from a single unit to any number of multiple units, in support of both batch size one and high-volume manufacturing environments. Images may be scanned and downloaded to the Print Line from any PC equipped with appropriate system software such as PhotoShop. Typical time from scan to print for an item produced is 20 minutes.
