The Baker Model AN-24 Automated Single Surface Planer features a helical cutter-head with rotate-able four-sided TCT knives, allowing for eight times the cutter-head life beyond conventional, straight-blade cutter heads, the company says. The Baker AN-24, with its 7.5-hp motor is capable of handling material up to 24 in. wide, 1/4 to 7 in. thick and has a max cutting depth of 1/4 in. It has a feed speed of 315 ipm (optional variable feed speed available), and with its compact footprint measuring 32 in. wide x 27.5 in. deep, it is perfect for any size operation. Smaller and larger sized models are available.
