This easy to use device consists of a vertical thickness sensing gage with a remote, magnetic fastened, digital readout. The sensing gage is mounted to a pad with an extendable push rod to facilitate positioning throughout the sander. The spring loaded thickness sensing gage has a flat sensing surface with infeed and outfeed guide rolls to facilitate entry under shoes, platens, pinchrolls, etc.
