Steel City introduces the 13-in. Deluxe Portable Planer with patented helical cutterhead (model no. 40200H). The patented helical head has 26 indexable HSS inserts, providing superior finish, longer cut time and quieter operation. The Steel City 13-in. Deluxe Portable Planer is driven by a 15-amp 120-volt single-phase, 60 Hertz motor to provide plenty of power for full width planning or long-run jobs. The Snipe Lock holds the cutterhead assembly firmly in place to minimize snipe. Other features include an easy-to-read depth of cut indicator for precise cuts and fast set up time, and extra large foldaway in-feed and out-feed tables to support large work pieces.
