POWERMATIC; 15HH and 209HH Planers WMH Tool Group, a leading manufacturer of woodworking tools, introduced the new POWERMATIC; 15HH and 209HH Planers with Byrd Shelix Cutterheads. The addition of the cutter head on these models provides woodworkers smoother, quieter cutting and a finer finish than conventional spiral knife systems. The Byrd Shelix cutterheads have spiraled staggered cutters that are shear providing a true helical cut and clean cutting action. The staggered tooth configuration breaks up chips for dust collection while the clearance between knives allows for greater chip flow. Four-sided carbide knives are easily indexed. The four-sided insert knives also allow for inexpensive replacement if damaged by nails or staples in material. 100378290
