Powermatic 6 and 8 in. jointers

Two new POWERMATIC; jointers have been equipped with helicalcutterheads, along with an impressive arsenal of other key features. They include the POWERMATIC 6-in. Jointer with Helical Cutterhead and POWERMATIC 8-in. Parallelogram Jointer with Helical Cutterhead. Helical cutterheads with knife inserts in both models provide smoother, quieter cutting and a finer finish than conventional models. The cutterhead on the 6-in. model incorporates 40, four-sided knife inserts. It rotates at 6,000 rpm and cuts up to 1/2 in. deep. The 8-in. jointer's head has 54 four-sided inserts, spins at 7,000 rpm and cuts to a depth of in. A 1-hp TEFC (totally enclosed, fan cooled) motor in the 6-in. model and a 2-hp, 1-phase or 3-hp, 3-phase TEFC motor in the 8-in. model provide enough power for even the most demanding jobs.
