Vecoplan RG62U-XL 'Shorty'

Vecoplan introduces the RG62U-XL "Shorty" industrial shredder. Designed specifically for wood residue, trim blocks, panel scraps, furniture and cabinet parts, pallets, dunnage, cardboard and paper and light plastics. The RG62U-XL "Shorty" features a shorter feed ram, providing it with a smaller footprint and allowing it to be retro-fitted in tight areas or to maximize utilization of space in new facility installations. Ram feed strokes are calibrated for maximum throughput efficiency. Designed for large, bulky feedstock, the XL line features larger rotor diameters and taller feed rams that improve the processing of bulky wood waste. Grinder throughput and overall processing efficiency is increased on materials such as pallets, boxes, crates, and other large dimension waste products. The RG62U-XL "Shorty" features true dump and run operation, so entire containers of waste can be fed into its hopper. The RG62U-XL "Shorty's" hopper has a volume capacity of 4 cu. yd. and a 62" x 58" hopper opening. Its 20-in. diameter rotor has 74 cutting inserts, is powered by a 150-hp motor, turns at 120 rpms, and is fed by a 10-hp two-speed hydraulic ram.
