The Scheer/Byrnes PA5000 series of panel saws include Pentium PC control for flexible machine operation in all modes with on-line part labeling and network capabilities. Rack and pinion drive with AC brushless servo motors are controlled by the latest resolver technology, the company says. Rear loading is provided by a 4-column lift feeder, mounted on the rear side of the material feed table. With three pusher arms, this axis records the exact panel thickness so panels that do not lie flat can be fed into the machine. All functions of the lift feeder are automatically controlled.
