Grand Rapids, Mich. – Stiles Machinery offers certification of WCA’s Standards of Tool Skills, an industry-approved program aimed to educate woodworkers in the latest woodworking machinery and techniques. Stiles is the first machinery company qualified to offer WCA certification.
Standards of Tool Skills are tool operations that can be measured. As a woodworker masters basic techniques, a clear path is indicated for increased skill in each tool operation. Experienced woodworkers must pass dozens of tests to demonstrate their accumulated skills against a consistent industry standard.

Phil Rasey, Sales Education Coordinator, will be among the first certified WCA evaluators. In order to qualify, Rasey had to meet rigorous WCA requirements to certify his skills and knowledge. Rasey’s extensive computer numeric controlled skills made him an ideal candidate.
