These WMMA members were assisted by the U.S. Commercial Service office in Bangalore, India, which provided comprehensive research on the Indian market for woodworking machinery and tools.

The awards are being made at IWF 2010 because the show is part of the U.S. Department of Commerce, International Buyer Program (IBP), which used the U.S. Commercial Service network of 1,500 trade professionals in 77 countries to recruit foreign buyers to IWF.  The IBP is expecting more than 260 buyers from 14 countries.  Accompanying them will be nine U.S. embassy employees each specializing in the woodworking machinery industry sector in their respective countries.

The U.S. Commercial Service network in the U.S. assists small and medium-sized companies with international business counseling, advocacy, market research, trade education, and introductions to qualified overseas buyers through the Gold Key Service.

During IWF exhibitors and attendees can visit the International Business Center for counseling on the export process; to meet our Foreign Commercial Specialists; or, receive counseling on export financing and export risk mitigation.  You are invited to attend a Free Export Financing Seminar on Friday, August 27, 2010 at 2:00 pm presented by representatives of the Small Business Administration (SBA) and the Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM Bank), in the International Business Center located in Building B, Rooms 401/402.
